::: The Creation of the Instituto Tênis :::

The Instituto Tênis was founded on June 3, 2002, at the headquarters of the Santa Catarina Tennis Federation.

The Instituto was an initiative of its founders who were concerned with the future of Brazilian tennis and decided to create a not for profit institution that would offer sports grants to talented athletes who do not have the financial resources to participate in tournaments.
